The global objective of this assignment is to provide the Government of the Republic of Mauritius with Technical Assistance to strengthen the country's capacity in the monitoring and functioning of the Tertiary Education sector. The specific objective is to support the Government of the Republic of Mauritius, more specifically the Mauritian Tertiary Education sector, in an integrated manner, in the following:
Development of an Action Plan for the improvement of the Quality Assurance Framework of the Tertiary Education;
Development of Performance Funding models and a strategy for the implementation of the best model for the public higher education sector; and
Development of a scheme for the upgrading of qualifications of lecturers to Docotral level as well as their teaching skills.
