The overall objective of this mission is to promote energy efficiency in Morocco. More specifically, it is to provide technical assistance to the MAEE, based on the requirements of the Acquis and European good practices. This technical assistance consists of two components:
Component 1: Support to the MAEE: operationalization, staff adaptation, development plans and long-term strategy;
Component 2: Support to propose a roadmap for a possible accreditation of AMEE as a National Entity with the Green Climate Fund, and to the preparation of 3 draft concept notes to be submitted to the GCF.
