The overall objective of this technical assistance funded by the European Union, was to improve the autonomy and strengthen the technical and scientific capacities of the Volcanological Observatory of Goma (OVG) and institutional actors working in disaster risk reduction (DRR) to better monitor and anticipate the eruptive activity of the volcanoes Nyiragongo and Nyamulagira for the benefit of the city’s population. Capitalise on the technical and scientific achievements of the project «Prevention and Management of Natural Risks» in the management of natural disasters in the DRC and North Kivu in particular and to raise awareness by making presentations in schools
Capitalise the institutional results of the project «Prevention and Management of Natural Risks» and disseminate its results to all actors and the research/ surveillance-civil protection
