Final Evaluation of CDP Phase 4

The overall objective of CDP-4 is to reduce poverty in Kenya through empowering communities to initiate and implement community-based socio-economic infrastructure and environmental projects subsequently leading to better governance at the local, district, county and national levels. The CDP-4 purpose is to support and mainstream community-led approaches to poverty reduction and sustainable management of natural resources by communities in rural and peri-urban areas across Kenya. Activities: Preparatory meetings and desk studies Field Missions Preparation of the final report Results: An inception report containing a work plan will be submitted one week in advance of the meeting with the EU Delegation Which will share with the reference group. The inception report will then be revised based on the discussions with the reference group and submitted one week after the meeting. The report should not be longer than 10 pages excluding annexes. An Interim Report I includes the findings of Phase I and II and proposals for Phase III (in terms of methodology for the evaluation, criteria for sampling of projects etc). The interim report I should not be longer than 30 pages excluding annexes. An Interim Report II, including the findings of Phase III. The interim report should not be longer than 30 pages excluding annexes. A draft Final Report. The report should in more detail discuss the findings of the various phases. It should include the strengths and weaknesses of the programme and should contain recommendations on how to deepen and expand existing partnerships and sustain the projects. The report should not be longer than 50 pages and a 5-6 page executive summary. The report will also contain a 5 page note on lessons and best practices that can be followed up by the national and county governments. A Final Report, based on the draft final report incorporating the comments of the reference group. The report should not be longer than 50 pages and a 5-6 page executive summary. This report will be made available to the main stakeholders of CDTF including the member institutions of the Board of Trustees (BoT) and relevant government of Kenya entities and other development partners.
