Prefiguration study of a Green Credit Line in Montenegro
The main goal of the project would be to promote local investments in climate technologies by addressing financial and technical barriers to enable borrowing by both the public and the private sectors (large corporates, SMEs, projects owners). In addition, the project could provide financing for IDF clients experiencing credit difficulties due to the current sanitary and economic crisis. The implementation is composed of 2 parts (or phases) in line with the Terms of reference: Initial diagnosis: Identification of high-potential sub-sectors for Montenegro and IDF This phase aims to identify high-potential sectors for Montenegro and the IDF in terms of financing climate investments and priority sectors/sub-sectors that need investment in the context of the COVID19 crisis and economy recovery. Identification of a pipeline of eligible investments. This phase aims to identify a portfolio of eligible sub-projects in high-potential sectors identified in the Phase 1, that could be financed by IDF under the AFD Program - from AFD Climate Investment Credit Facility and from AFD COVID19 Facility.
