Project Objectives

The overall objective of the project is to provide technical assistance for the identification and formulation of the Pastoralism and Transhumance sub-programme under the 11th EDF RIP. The agropastoral sector at regional level is a provider of employment, ensures part of food security through dairy and meat products, and generates numerous economic benefits.

The specific objectives are to:

Propose and justify the selection within the PRIDEC of the part or parts that best correspond to the priorities of ECOWAS and UEMOA regarding transhumance and pastoralism, and to the concept of the Pastoralism and Transhumance sub-programme under the 11th EDF RIP.

Formulate the Action Document/Identification.

Formulate the Action Document/Formulation which will serve as the basis for the programme's financing agreement.
